Work for Sale: Mini Mosaics
Mini mosaics are made from strips of "palette trash," dried acrylic paint peeled off a plastic palette. I started making art with the palette trash a number of years ago; it's just too lovely to throw away. Upping production means making palette trash on purpose, which is really the pineapple upside down cake version of painting. The first couple layers are a sloshy, joyous endeavor with conscious choices in color and mark making. Then I layer up paint to build strength. Scissors, tweezers, glue, wood, ba-bing! Mosaic. And now I want cake.
