During treatment for ovarian cancer in 2018, there were times of tremendous blessing. There were plenty of challenges, tears, and pain too, of course. But the support and care I received made me feel not just strong, not just hopeful, but joyful. Created as part of a daily art challenge celebrating my five year cancerversary, this mixed media piece captures my sense of exuberant joy flowing outward. Sharing my joy never depleted me, it strengthened me. And now five years cancer free, it still does.
